To Detach a Design from a Work Request
An attached or associated design can be removed from a work request using the Detach or Disassociate command. The Detach operation removes the design's attached status but leaves it affiliated with the work request as an associated design. The Disassociate operation dissolves the link between the work request and the design, making the design available for linking with other work requests.
- From the list of work requests in the My Work view, select the attached design that you want to detach from its work request. Make sure the folder of the work request is expanded to show the attached design.
- From the Actions menu, choose Detach.
- Or right-click the design, point to Actions on the shortcut menu, and then click Detach. Note: You can also perform these steps when working in the My Designs view.
